Katannah Sailing works to allow local children access to introductory sailing courses during the summer. Our goal is to create continuity, encouraging young sailors to build skills and confidence over time.

Each year we enthusiastically support “Sailingships” (3-year sailing scholarships) at Marblehead’s Pleon Yacht Club. We are also proud to support the programs in neighboring Salem Harbor at Sail Salem, which “promotes positive life skills, encourages independence, responsibility, self-confidence, teamwork, environmental awareness, and an enduring appreciation of our waterways”.

We are always open to new ways to support local, community-based organizations who are doing great work in making sailing accessible to children. This could include other summer sailing programs, boat building courses, seamanship instruction and more. Please get in touch with us to discuss!
